The NEW ATC SCM40 is a full range 3-way ATC design. Using world renowned ATC 75mm midrange driver unit, the SCM40’s ability to reproduce music at realistic levels is truly amazing.
The ATC SCM40 employs all the specialist ’soft dome’ technology found in the reference systems we build for the recording industry. It is this design feature among others that contribute to the wide bandwidth and exceptional dynamic range of this outstanding new loudspeaker.
Available in real wood veneers and ‘professional black’ finish, the ATC SCM40 offers all the unique sonic advantages for which ATC speakers are valued the world over at a new competitive price point.

Outstanding communication, knowledge and before and after purchase care, offering their 5% on this my first purchase and delivery all the way to Argyle and Bute, Scotland free. The ATCSCM40 passives have transformed my system offering, more clarity, exposure, timing and insight into my chosen source subjects. I'm listening to mainly vocals, acoustic and amplified instrumentation through my speakers, therefore don't need bass heavy speakers, however these produce plenty. They do require more juice from the amplifiers, so definitely 150w per channel plus. The cabinet stand (angled and integrated), spikes and magnet grill are top notch and protect those stunning (made in England) drivers and beautiful 75mm mid (star of show make). The 3-way binding posts were a bit of a tight fit with my double x NBS jumpers, but all running superbly. These speakers also have spot on dimensions for smaller rooms and the cherry finish is better in the flesh than adverts. ATC also make registration available and warranty. Recommended A+++++

I listened to a lot of speakers before buying the ATC SCM40s and for me they strike the perfect balance between being detailed and insightful, yet still sound natural and musical. ATC's midrange drivers are pretty special I think. Peter couldn't have been more helpful in advising on this and other equipment.
